Meral

Privacy & your report

Meral is in a private beta. This page describes exactly what the product does today - nothing more.

What you upload

You upload a PDF home inspection report. Meral also stores the property record created from it, the systems and findings extracted from it, and Meral's own planning estimates.

Where it is stored

Your PDF is stored in a private storage bucket. It is not public, has no public URL, and access is restricted so that only your own account can read your own files.

AI processing

To produce the analysis, your report is sent from Meral's backend to Meral's analysis service and read independently by two third-party AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic). Their outputs are stored on your report record. Analysis requests are made server-side; your browser never talks to the providers directly.

We do not sell your report data

Meral does not sell your report, your property data, or the analysis derived from them, and does not share them with advertisers or data brokers.

Retention during the beta

During the private beta, uploaded reports and their analyses are retained for as long as your account exists, so results survive sign-out and refresh. There is no automatic expiry yet.

Deleting a property

Deleting a property in Meral removes the stored PDF, the report record, and the systems, findings and estimates derived from it in Meral's product database.

To be explicit: deletion currently removes the Meral product copy only. The copy held by Meral's separate analysis service is not deleted automatically yet. If you want that copy removed, email us and we will remove it manually.
